I AM | NAVAJO COUNTRY, AZ
We met at an abandoned motel in the Navajo Nation (AZ). As soon as I saw her I pulled off the highway. I still see her eyes staring into my soul. I do my best to maintain eye-contact, but can’t help wanting to explore the stories on her face, the tribal graffiti and the decay of her surroundings. Although I can’t even fathom the atrocities she’s dealing with, I admire her courage and feel her pain. “I AM” will be featured at this years Indiana State Fair, representing the PhotoVenture Camera Club.
